M-Tuned's Online Virtual Dyno Log Analyser

Two tools, one datalog. See the power your car is putting down, and find out whether the tune behind it is healthy. No dyno booking, no account, no fee.

Virtual Dyno

Turns one clean full-throttle pull into a power and torque curve, corrected for the weather recorded in your log. Overlay several runs to compare — 93 against E85, before against after.

Needs: a sustained pull — 95% throttle, 3 seconds or more, at least a 4,000 RPM sweep in one gear.

Tune Analyser

Reads the same log for the things that decide whether a tune is safe: knock and DAM, fuel trims, air/fuel ratio, boost control error, intercooler heat soak, cam timing and fuel pressure. Comes back with a graded health report.

Needs: any datalog. It does not need a full pull — a log too short to draw a curve from is still worth checking for knock.

Upload a datalog once and run either tool, or both — the health report you download covers whichever you ran. Free to use, no account needed.

How it works

  1. Do a pull and save the log. Third or fourth gear, flat road, full throttle from about 2,500 RPM to redline.
  2. Upload the CSV. We scan it and find every wide-open-throttle pull in the file.
  3. Pick your run. Analyse one, or overlay several to compare — 93 against E85, before against after.
  4. Read the chart. Power, torque and boost across the RPM range, corrected for the weather in your log. Download it or send it to Mike.

What you need

  • A datalog in CSV form — Cobb Accessport is what most people use. Needs RPM, throttle, vehicle speed and time in the file.
  • One real pull in it. At least 95% throttle, above 2,000 RPM, held for 3 seconds or more, covering at least 1,000 RPM. Lift early and that run won't count.
  • Your car's details. Vehicle, mod level, fuel, weight, driver weight and the gear you pulled in — the maths needs all six.
  • Nothing else. No account, no software, no cost. Weather correction is read straight out of the log.

Virtual Dyno — Beta

This tool is still being developed and calibrated. Some vehicles, gears, and datalogs can produce inaccurate results. Treat the numbers as a well-informed estimate, not a replacement for a real dyno pull.

πŸ“‹ HOW TO GET ACCURATE RESULTS
1 Full Throttle Only: Hold throttle at 100% from 2500+ RPM to redline. Any lift will end the run early.
2 Use 3rd or 4th Gear: Lower gears cause clutch slip. Higher gears accelerate too slowly for accurate readings.
3 Flat Road Required: Hills skew results. Uphill shows less power, downhill shows inflated numbers.
4 Enter Correct Weight: Include driver, passengers, fuel, and cargo. Every 100 lbs = ~3-5 HP difference.
5 Multiple Runs Detected: We find all valid pulls in your log. Pick your best run or compare them all.
6 Verify Tire Size: Wrong tire diameter = wrong speed = wrong HP. Enable auto-detect to check yours.
7 Weather Matters: Hot air = less power. Enable SAE correction to normalize for temperature and altitude.

Virtual Dyno turns a clean full-throttle pull into a power and torque curve. Tune Analyser checks the log for knock, fuel trims, boost control, intercooler and cam timing β€” and works on logs too short to draw a curve from. Run either, then the other; the health report includes whichever you ran.

Results are estimates — Beta

The virtual dyno is still under active development. Certain vehicles, gear selections, or noisy logs can skew horsepower and torque. If a curve looks wrong, tell us and we'll dig in.
